Whether or not you’re trying to minimize trips to the grocery store, having a well-stocked freezer is great for making healthy, budget-friendly meals. Fruits and vegetables are picked and frozen at their peak ripeness, retaining most of their mineral and phytonutrient content. Studies also show the vitamin C content (important for supporting your immune system) is the same for frozen and fresh blueberries, strawberries, carrots, spinach, peas and broccoli.
