Log Home-Cooked Meals Faster with MyFitnessPal’s New ‘Log It’ Button

NEW MyFitnessPal launches Log It button
In This Article

It’s no secret that cooking at home leads to healthier eating. Just how much healthier? In honor of our new ‘Log It’ button, we dug into our database to find out. On days when users logged a recipe (as compared to all other foods including restaurant or packaged foods) they were:

  • six times more likely to stay within their daily calorie, carbohydrate, fat, and sugar goals.
  • over seven times more likely to stay within their daily sodium goals.

To help you stick to your nutritional goals, we’re excited to introduce the new MyFitnessPal ‘Log It’ button. Our new tool makes it even faster and easier to get nutrition data for healthy, home-cooked meals into your MyFitnessPal food diary. When you see the ‘Log It’ button on a recipe, simply click it to save the recipe to your recipe box on MyFitnessPal or add it to your food diary.

Starting today, you’ll find the blue ‘Log It’ button on recipes on MyRecipes.com and on the MyFitnessPal blog. With over 90,000 recipes from top magazines (Cooking Light, Real Simple, Southern Living, and more!), you’re sure to discover a healthy dish to log and to love. In the coming months, we’ll roll out the ‘Log It’ button on other sites and bloggers across the web.
