Frozen pineapple is a great fruit for smoothies, making the mixture thick and delicious. Adding turmeric and black pepper makes it an anti-inflammatory superfood, that helps to protect brain health. A pineapple turmeric smoothie bowl is a breakfast that seems like a bowl of ice cream, but it packs enough protein and fiber to keep you full for hours.
Try this smoothie bowl before a strength workout, and swap the protein powder for collagen powder. The collagen, plus the high vitamin C content, activates tendon strengthening. Strong tendons can reduce injury during exercise, so this is great for athletes.
