Naked Turkey and Smashed Avocado Burger

Ingredients

For the turkey burger

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Sliced tomato for topping
  • Lettuce, for wrapping

For the smashed avocado

  • 2 avocados, pitted
  • 1/3 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon or lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the spicy mayo

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp honey

Directions

In a large bowl, add ground turkey, mayo, and seasonings. Mix gently until well incorporated. Make 4-inch diameter patties.
