Your Weekly Report (found under “More” in the app) got an upgrade with food group insights. Finding balance in your diet can be tricky. Food Group Insights makes it easier for you to take clear, actionable steps toward better food choices.

See what food groups your logged food falls into, and stay on track with the habits you want to build!

Premium members can also revisit insights and compare progress week-over-week.

With one of the world’s largest databases—over 19 million foods and counting!—we are constantly reviewing the foods in our database to create the best experiences for our users.

To do this, MyFitnessPal uses a variety of tools and resources to review the accuracy and completeness of information associated with food entries.

And now we have Best Match. Each Best Match food is individually created and verified by MyFitnessPal Registered Dietitians, giving users a simple way to choose the most accurate and complete search result for commonly logged foods.

Meal Scan with MyFitnessPal

Improved Meal Scan

Plate it. Scan it. Log it. Eat it.

Meal Scan leverages artificial intelligence to identify the food items in a photo and instantly match them to the foods in our extensive database. And now, Meal Scan’s new search feature makes logging even easier.

Here’s how it works:

  • Use your camera to capture your entire meal.
  •  Select the ingredients  in your meal.
  • Add more ingredients! Search and add anything missed.
  • Once everything looks good, just tap to log the entire meal at once!

 

The more you use Meal Scan, the smarter it gets. But remember, Meal Scan only works if you capture your meal before you eat!

Multi-Day Logging

Save time, log faster. Our new Multi-Day Logging feature lets you log the same food on multiple days, all in one entry—perfect for meal preppers or those who prefer structured planning.

Prep for the week ahead, pre-log your go-to foods, and know exactly what nutrients you’re getting each day.

Next time you log a food, tap the dates you plan to eat it this week. That’s it!
