Welcome to the first Member of the Month contest of 2014! We loved hearing about all of your successes in 2013 and are excited to keep it going in the new year.

Last month we asked you to share a photo along with a story of yourself staying focused on fitness while you enjoyed the holiday season. This time, we want to know how you are using tracking and insights to aid in your healthy 2014.

The winner will receive a Jawbone UP wireless health band, which will help you keep track of your exercise and get fitness insights in real-time. Even better, it automatically syncs to MyFitnessPal!

Keeping connected and in tune with your body is one important part of staying healthy, and even celebs and other ‘beautiful people’ are surprised by how many calories sneak into their diets.

In 2013, MyFitnessPal fan Kate Hudson told Shape Magazine, “I remember a few years ago I needed to lose some weight but just couldn’t drop these 15 pounds. My diet was a lot of raw foods and I thought, ‘Why am I so bloated?’ Turns out I was eating about 3,500 calories a day because I was constantly snacking on cashews! I don’t care how many people say it’s ‘good fat,’ that really got me.”

To enter, submit a photo of yourself making a healthy food or fitness choice, along with up to 500 words about how you’ll use MyFitnessPal to stay connected to your body and mindful of your nutrition. Deadline is 1/31 at midnight. US entrants only.

Submit your entry here and let’s kick off the year in style!

Healthfully,

The MyFitnessPal Team
