One study found that people who drink enough water have a lower abundance of this bacterial strain.
But just how much water is enough?

A good rule of thumb is about 74oz (2L) for women and 100 oz (3L) for men.
But making sure you’re getting enough water can be tough.

And, of course, thirst! If you feel thirsty, you’re already dehydrated. So take that as a sign to drink up!
