Great to hear about the new functionality for Samsung
wearables. Pardon my insolence, but maybe you guys could fix the basics first,
eg: getting step and exercise data to sync from S Health before beating your
chest and basking in your brilliance

  • Amy Bennett

how do I actually sync it ?

    • Dag Gebauer

For me it mostly doesn’t work.
Syncing weight and food from myfitnesspal to S Health works great and instantenious but:
      – workouts from mapmyrun never show in S health
      – any workout from S health never shows in myfitnesspal

Also workout type selection in mapmyrun Gear application is to limited (there is no elliptical trainer workout for instance).
And for outdoor activities there is no warning that watch haven’t acquired GPS lock so you can start workout without actually tracking your location.

In current state it is pretty much useless.

I apologize for the poor English, it is not my native language.

      • Amy bennett

Thank you still can’t figure out to sync the food even 🙁

        • Dag Gebauer

          Try this.
Install S Health and MFP on phone.
In MFP app click hamburger menu (three lines in top left corner) and than click on “Apps & Devices”.
Find S Health, click on it and than click on connect.

Close MFP app and open S Health
In S health click three dots in top right corner and than click Settings
In Settings scroll down to “Data permissions” and click on it
There shoud be MFP on list that opens, click on it.
If sync is set to OFF change it to ON, if it is already on ON you are good to go.
After sync is set to ON you can change type of information you want to sync.

          Hope this helps

Did you figure it out? I can’t sync mine either.

      • Amy bennett

        nope not even a clue

    • Jeremiah

Ok. Try this. Go to galaxy apps. On your phone and Search for MyFitnessPal. Download it and it should sync automatically. Make sure BT is turned on on your phone and watch. Worked for me. Also gave me my free trial version of Myfitnesspal. Good luck

Samsung gear fit 2 now supports iOS but I see not all functions carry over. Will this if I decide to get a gear fit 2 with my iPhone?
